Membership of the Mapúa IEEE Student Branch shall ordinarily be every First Quarter and Third Quarter of the School Year unless under certain circumstances in which the Board of Directors may call for a special membership during a particular term.

Admittance to the organization shall ordinarily be based on the following: Screening (40%), Orientation/General Assembly (10%) and Seminars and Activities (50%). The Screening of applicants shall test the student's theoretical knowledge (20%) and practical applications (20%) of his/her respective major.

The applicant must obtain a copy of the application form at the Mapúa IEEE office located at the third floor northwest building or you may download it here, fill up the information required, submit it on or before the specified deadline and pay the corresponding application fee (PhP50.00) to the Membership Committee.

The Publicity Committee shall then post the schedule of the screening of applicants upon the approval of the Board of Directors.

The applicant is required to attend the screening. If an applicant cannot attend the screening, he/she must inform the membership committee beforehand. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of your application. There shall be no refund for the application fee.

The Publicity Committee shall then post a list of successful applicants who will be qualified to take the seminars and activities of the Mapúa IEEE Student Branch. The seminars and activities shall have corresponding weights and the applicant is required to attend at least one activity. The activities shall be: Technical Workshops (20%), Technical Seminars (10%), Non-technical Seminars (10%) and Other Activities (20%) such as plant visits and outreach programs.

All applicants who completed the required seminars and activities shall now be accepted as a bonafide Mapúa IEEE Student Branch Member and must pay the corresponding local due (PhP100.00). The local dues shall be collected every two quarters. Nonpayment of local dues will result in the loss of voting rights and the right to hold office, but will not result in the suspension of membership in the IEEE as stated in Article V Section 2 of the Mapúa IEEE Constitution. Please refer to the schedule of payments below.

All Mapúa IEEE Student Branch Members are required to pay the corresponding international due (US$25.00 for full year membership or US$12.50 for half year membership). Full year membership shall be accepted from August 16 of the current year up to February 28 of the following year. Half year membership shall be accepted from March 1 of the current year up to August 15 of the current year. Nonpayment of international dues will automatically result in the suspension of membership in the IEEE and in the Mapúa IEEE as stated in Article V Section 2 of the Mapúa IEEE Constitution. Refer to the schedule of payments below.
